In just six years Nadezda Pshenitsyna moved from Russia to Geneva and then on to Canada, starting as a Finance Analyst and becoming Finance Planning and Analyst Lead managing a team of four people.
Her international career was fast tracked by a Short Term Assignment (STA), a system JTI uses for fulfilling short term business needs and creating career opportunities for employees.
Another program we operate for high potential managers is the combined Japan Tobacco Inc and JTI Exchange Academy, a development program created in partnership with the Swiss IMD business school.
The Academy stimulates debate among attendees and also builds leadership skills designed to optimize performance in a multicultural environment.
One participant is Akhtar Hannan whose career has moved quickly from member of the Corporate Accounting and Consolidation Team to being its manager. His career has also involved relocation from the UK to Geneva.
At the time of the JTI Gallaher acquisition he was one of the team responsible for integrating Gallaher’s financial reporting and accounting processes. Akhtar describes his experience of the Academy as "an opportunity to see the bigger picture."
