Our EHS vision
JTI is committed to providing a safe workplace for our employees, and to conducting our business in a way that is environmentally sound. We aim to eliminate all occupational injuries and illnesses, prevent pollution at its source and optimize the use of natural resources.
Our EHS framework
To achieve these goals, we have set up a clearly defined EHS management structure and organization, and a framework for managing EHS issues. The framework includes our Environment, Health & Safety Policy, and Global EHS Standards and tools. We have also established an EHS Excellence Plan, which sets out our strategy for improving EHS performance.
EHS Annual Report 2007
On this site you will find our fourth external EHS Annual Report, for 2007, independently verified by Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance. This is the source of information about our Global Environment, Health and Safety impacts, activities and performance. We publish this externally because we believe it is important to communicate openly and work with our stakeholders to improve Environment Health and Safety performance. We welcome your feedback.
