A Journey Together

ARISE: ending child labor through education and opportunity.

Child labor is hugely complex but we partner with those who can affect real change, for communities who have the most to gain. Our aim is to prove that a future without child labor is possible. We are proud to be playing a key role in this private-public partnership (PPP) and building on the positive impact we’ve made to date.

Driven by Safety

Our commitment to safe driving is key to our employees’ security & wellbeing.

JTI has always placed employee welfare and safety at the heart of its work. Driving a vehicle remains a major occupational hazard, which is why our commitment to safe driving is key to our employees’ security and wellbeing.

Changing the Future

In an attempt to make a positive difference to women’s lives, JTI Turkey launched the My Inspiration is My Future program.

Women in Turkey are met with many challenges in their working lives. They are more than willing to work but job opportunities are often limited and with child marriages, a lower literacy rate and difficulties in receiving an education so prevalent, it is no wonder that the participation rate in the female labour force in Turkey is just 30%.

You will make mistakes – and that’s OK!

If you have the luxury to choose, take it. Talk to businesses before you jump in. Choosing a career or an employer is not a life decision but it’s extremely important to find the environment that’s right for you. Because if you do something that you love, the chances are that you’ll be good at what you do

Australia plain packaging

New Reports Reinforce the Failure of Plain Packaging in Australia

On September 29, the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare (AIHW) announced that smoking in Australia is now at an “all-time low”. This should come as no surprise: smoking is in decline in almost every country in the world and Australia is no different. The AIHW stated in media reports that plain packaging may – among other factors – have influenced these results.

A slippery slope

Tobacco regulation is becoming the template for new restrictions on alcohol, food and soda

Tobacco is one of the most heavily-regulated products in the world. But tobacco-style restrictions are increasingly being used as the model for regulation on a range of other product categories. This is a trend that is commonly known as the slippery slope.
