“Enterprising, Open, Challenging”: We believe in our values and convictions. We want to be the most successful and responsible tobacco company in the world, and each day give our all in pursuit of this goal.
Japan Tobacco International (JTI) is a global player with local roots. What began as a small company in 1971 has grown into a major production location over the last four decades. Dagmersellen does not only produce cigarettes sold in Switzerland and abroad but is also home to the market organization for Switzerland. Some 300 employees work in Dagmersellen, with about two-thirds of them in production.
43 Million Cigarettes per Day
Our production output is now three times as much as it was in 2000. Some 43 million cigarettes leave the factory in Dagmersellen every day – 85% of them are exported to over 20 countries on four continents.
We Invest in Technologies and Our Employees
As an international company, we strive for outstanding performance and continuous improvement. In order to ensure that this does not change, we regularly invest in the latest technologies and in the expertise of our employees.
Our success obliges us to take all of our social and environmental responsibilities seriously. We set great value on environmentally friendly production processes and regularly support both charitable organizations and cultural events.
