Pierre de Labouchere

President and Chief Executive Officer

Pierre de Labouchere is a French national with a Masters Degree from the Hautes Études Commerciales (HEC) business school in Paris.

A career in tobacco

In 1999, Pierre de Labouchere became President & Chief Executive Officer of the newly-created JTI. This followed a 19-year career in the tobacco industry that began with R.J. Reynolds in France.

While at R.J. Reynolds, he was promoted through a number of marketing and regional management positions in Europe before being appointed Vice President in 1988 and Regional Vice President in 1991.

In 1994 a number of key development markets were placed under his leadership, including Eastern and Central Europe, the Middle East and Africa, when he was promoted to Regional President.

In 1995 Pierre de Labouchere was appointed President and CEO of R.J. Reynolds International. He was reconfirmed in his leadership role following the creation of JTI
in 1999.

Previous experience

Pierre de Labouchere began his working life with Danone in 1978.
