JTI Sweden

JTI Sweden is the largest cigarette company in Sweden, with brands that have been market leaders since 1915. JTI Sweden was created in 2007 when Gallaher became part of JTI.

Gallaher had previously bought Austria Tabak (2001), the company that originally purchased the entire cigarette and roll-your-own tobacco category from Swedish Match in 1999. Tobacco production in Sweden was formerly organized under Svenska Tobaks AB, which gained control of all domestic tobacco industries in 1915. However, our local tobacco heritage stretches all the way back to 1890 when our oldest brand, Commerce, still in production, was launched.

Our office is located in downtown Stockholm and our traditional Swedish snus is produced in our own, dedicated factory in Vårgårda.
