Innovation

JTI has been committed to talent in Iberia for years. That is why we chose Madrid as the location for our Global Information Technology Center, which serves more than 40,000 employees, and to house the Western Europe division of Duty Free, which was previously located in Athens.

Agriculture

In some regions, such as Extremadura, tobacco leaf cultivation is an engine of growth that boosts the economy and helps to stabilize the rural population. To support and give stability to this strategic sector, we signed long-term agreements where we commit to the annual purchase of leaves grown in Extremadura.

Industry

We have the largest industrial tobacco production center in Spain, responsible for the production of more than 50% of the cigarettes manufactured today in the Canary Islands. The production center located in Tenerife has been completely renovated in the last decade thanks to a sustained investment of almost 100 million euros (2013-2023), which has allowed it to gain influence and prominence in JTI's manufacturing division.

Sustainability has become a driver of change for our organisation. We are actively working towards an increasingly sustainable supply chain, from leaf collection until the product is delivered to the point of sale, as well as improving the efficiency of our own production centres.
