JT Group Recognized on CDP’s “Climate A List” and “Water A List” for the 2nd Consecutive Year and Endorses the TCFD Recommendations

Japan Tobacco Inc. (JT) (TSE: 2914) has been recognized for its leadership in corporate sustainability by global environmental non-profit CDP.  JT achieved a place on CDP's prestigious “A List”1 for tackling climate change as well as acting to protect water security for the second consecutive year.  In addition, in December 2020, the company endorsed the recommendations of the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD). 

JT is one of approximately 60 companies in the world and 16 companies in Japan that achieved “Climate A List” and “Water A List”, out of more than 5,800 companies participating in the CDP environmental disclosure program in 2020.  This marks JT’s third recognition for climate change following 2016 and 2019 and its second recognition for water security following 2019. […]
