Illicit tobacco trade in Armenia has remained low for over a decade, with levels around 1%. In line with efforts to support national authorities in tackling illicit tobacco trade, JTI has conducted specialized trainings for the Armenian State Revenue Committee. More than 50 customs inspectors from checkpoints across the country took part in the sessions, which focused on identifying and distinguishing illicit and counterfeit tobacco products.
