JTI Armenia’s Innovative Approaches to Employee Well-Being

JTI values

One of the most recent innovations is the "New Ways of Working" (NWOW) policy. This approach quickly became a favorite among JTI employees, offering unmatched flexibility and opportunities.

What is NWOW, and why has it been so successful?

NWOW reflects JTI’s innovative shift from traditional work models toward hybrid working, focusing not on location or hours but on outcomes and activities.

This management model is based on four core principles:

  • Flexibility in work,

  • A responsible and consistent approach,

  • Work-life balance,

  • A sense of belonging to the JTI family.

The benefits of the hybrid model at JTI Armenia

JTI Armenia enables employees to split their work time evenly between the office and remote locations, ensuring a productive environment regardless of location.

Moreover, as part of NWOW, JTI Armenia provides a one-time financial allowance to help employees create a comfortable home workspace, including the purchase of furniture or technical equipment.

Additionally, employees can adjust their work hours to fit personal needs or even work remotely from abroad for up to 10 days per year. NWOW also introduces flexible work hours, allowing employees to begin or end their workday outside the traditional 9-to-6 schedule—e.g., 10-to-7 or 8-to-5—supporting efficiency and work-life balance.

A new management model: a benchmark for the Armenian job market

NWOW not only boosts productivity but also reduces stress, fosters mutual trust and responsibility, and strengthens employees’ sense of belonging within the large JTI family. This approach allows employees to organize their daily routines more effectively, minimizing unnecessary tension.

JTI Armenia’s example serves as a leading illustration of how to adapt to a changing world while ensuring high employee engagement.

The company continually demonstrates that promoting employee well-being and introducing new work methods can be naturally integrated to drive success.

To keep up with evolving market demands and employee expectations, JTI Armenia consistently develops new policies. One such initiative is the Family Leave policy, which offers mothers and fathers alike up to 140 days of paid paternity leave following the birth of their child, enabling them to support each other and spend meaningful time with their families.
