JTI has always been committed to contributing to the Armenian community. Our projects cover two main directions: Arts & culture, and people.
Support elderly/disabled people in Gyumri with provision of food – For over a decade now, we have been steadfastly supporting the "Caritas Armenia" program, which provides monthly food packages to 200 socially vulnerable elderly individuals. This initiative not only addresses their basic needs but also fosters a sense of dignity and vitality among the beneficiaries, helping to maintain their health and overall well-being.
Warm Winter Program for Caritas Armenia Beneficiaries – within this project heating assistance has been providing to 150 vulnerable elderly individuals in Gyumri for the past nine years. This initiative ensures that they can adequately heat their homes during the harsh winter season, thereby reducing the risk of cold-related illnesses and alleviating the hardships they face during the winter months.
Since 2022 we have been cooperating with the "APAGA", one of the leading charity foundations in the country, that has been implementing social, cultural, and educational programs in Armenia. As part of this collaboration, JTI has been actively involved in APAGA's "One Step from Education to Work" program, which supports students in securing professional employment, ensuring a stable income, and building a promising future.
We firmly believe in the significant role that art and culture play in enhancing people's wellbeing. This is why we actively support meaningful projects aimed at making art accessible to a wider audience, as we recognize their potential to positively impact the lives of many.
Sergey Parajanov Museum and Matenadaran (Institute of Ancient Manuscripts) – Since 2012, JTI has been actively supporting the Sergey Parajanov Museum by providing funds for institutional development, publications, and the enrichment of the exhibit collection. JTI also contributes to the Matenadaran Museum by providing funds for the procurement of materials for manuscript restoration and publications.
Armenian-Japanese “Hikari” Scientific Center - Since 2012, JTI has been supporting the Armenian-Japanese "Hikari" Scientific Center by providing funds for organising events such as the Japanese Film Festival and Japanese Spring Activities, as well as offering institutional support to the Hikari Center. These projects aim to familiarise Armenian society with Japanese rich culture and traditions.
