For more than a decade, one of the best employers in Lithuania, JTI Baltic (Japan Tobacco International) has continued to create new standards for employee welfare, offering not only a competitive salary, but also an innovative benefits package that promotes professional growth, personal work-life balance, and green mobility.
"We seek to be not just an employer. We want to be a partner that helps employees improve and create a better life every day," says Audronė Andreikienė, Director of People and Culture at JTI Baltic.
"We believe that investing in employees is the basis for long-term business success. Therefore, every year we look for new ways in which we can contribute to the well-being of our employees and offer more interesting benefits. For example, each of our employees can receive a learning basket with significant budget, which can be used for any training – from professional skills development to creative workshops or culinary classes," says A. Andreikienė.
According to her, such benefits allow employees not only to grow professionally, but also to realize their personal ambitions. And she adds that the company also takes special care of the financial well-being and health of its employees: "Our employees know that if they get sick, they will receive 100 percent of their remuneration for the period of sick leave. This money is added to the Social Security benefits. We believe that this not only gives a sense of security, but also allows us to recover faster and return to work without additional worries."
A. Andreikienė reveals that another of the benefits offered to employees is related to the promotion of green mobility: the company allocates fixed amount per year to each employee. Employees can use these funds to purchase bicycles, public transport tickets, or even install an electric car charging station at home.
"In addition to these benefits, employees at JTI Baltic can also receive quality paternity leave – the corporation undertakes to pay 100 percent of this leave for up to 20 weeks. It doesn't matter how one or the other employee became a mom or dad. We want to show our employees that we seek to contribute to their well-being, regardless of their gender, marital status or sexual orientation," says A. Andreikienė.
According to A. Andreikienė, work flexibility in the company has already become an integral part of our culture. The principles of equality and diversity also become such at JTI Baltic, which help to create a friendly and motivating working environment.
"Working remotely is not an additional benefit, but a necessity in today's society. In the same way, we look at gender equality. Therefore, as many as 55 percent of our company's employees are women, and both women and men receive the same remuneration for the work they do. In addition, more than 40 percent of management positions are already held by women. It's not just dry statistics or numbers – it's part of our strategy," says the Director of People and Culture at JTI Baltic.
She also emphasizes that no less attention is paid to the younger generation and the promotion of their professional involvement: "Young professionals are educated in our company not only through various mentoring programs, but also by providing exceptional opportunities to work in the company's international offices."
According to the Top Employers Institute, JTI Baltic was recognized as one of the best employers in Lithuania for the twelfth year in a row and the best employer for the second year. This institute evaluates more than 2,300 companies from 121 countries every year.
