JTI is The Best Employer in Czechia. For the Fifth Time in a Row!

Careers

Japanese tobacco manufacturer Japan Tobacco International (JTI) has been named the best company to work for in the Czech Republic for the fifth consecutive time. This was confirmed by the latest edition of the Czech part of the global Top Employer 2025 ranking, which evaluated working conditions in more than 2,400 companies across 125 countries. In the Czech Republic, only 29 companies received this prestigious recognition, with JTI leading the way. JTI is known for its brands Camel and Winston, as well as its heated tobacco device, Ploom X.

"JTI is the only tobacco company in the Czech Republic that has been consistently growing its market share. Our employees are the key to this business success. We know that we need to attract the best talent and then retain them. Our employees are at the center of everything we do, and we reflect this in the care and benefits we provide. Receiving the Best Employer award in the Czech Republic proves just that," says Cormac O'Rourke, General Manager of JTI for the Czech Republic, Hungary, and Slovakia.

"For example, we have a policy in place that allows employees to split their working hours equally between the office and home office. This policy even applies to sales representatives, who can spend one day a week preparing for meetings from home. We also cover parental leave for the second parent regardless of their gender or how they become parents. We also provide employees with a service that ensures care for their elderly parents, allowing them to stay in their homes, while employees have peace of mind knowing their loved ones are being taken care of," highlights some of JTI's employee benefits Ommary Ally, Director of People & Culture for JTI Czech Republic, Hungary, and Slovakia.

“This recognition acknowledges that our people are at the heart of everything we do and shows the progress we continue to make in improving our environment, caring about the wellbeing of our employees, as well as our focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion. Being awarded Top Employer eleven years in a row demonstrates to our future employees that JTI is a great place to work. This certification is a key component in attracting and retaining top talent," says Guergana Andreeva, Senior Vice President, People & Culture at JTI.

JTI has also received the Top Employer 2025 certification at the global level. Only 17 companies worldwide have achieved such high recognition. JTI employs over 46,000 people of 128 different nationalities across five continents.
