This is the case in Italy of Social Agriculture projects carried out in collaboration with Confagricoltura. These initiatives combine the three fundamental aspects of our vision of sustainability: environmental, social and agricultural sustainability. Through these projects, we have made and will make possible the employment of disadvantaged people in dedicated agricultural projects. This initiative follows the long-term commitment of JTI in the agricultural sector in the country: it focuses on local businesses promoting their ability to bring innovation and interpret the needs of local communities.
Another example is also evident in JTI’s collaboration with the Fondazione Progetto Arca, a non-profit organization that provides practical support to those in deep poverty. For over 10 years, JTI Italia has collaborated with Progetto Arca Foundation on numerous initiatives that aim to support people in difficulty: from Food Truck - mobile kitchens dedicated to homeless people to give them a hot meal - to the Solidarity Market, JTI is committed to supporting people in need to enable them to re-enter society, overcoming difficult times
