Reducing inequalities is one of three key areas that we focus on with our community investment activities at JTI. We recognize that inclusive societies are better for the people we interact with and better for business. That’s why we believe that everyone should have the opportunity to participate in society to their full potential and here at JTI Philippines it begins with our Bright Start program.
In 2022, we launched the Bright Start program where selected determined individuals from socially disadvantaged communities are given the opportunity to attain a college degree while simultaneously developing their careers at JTI.
Since its launch, the program has already achieved a significant milestone, with 26 Bright Starters successfully completing their college degrees. Their achievement reflects years of hard work, perseverance, and determination, and demonstrates the positive impact of investing in talent, education, and opportunity.
Open to high school graduates aged 18 and above, the Bright Start program aims to make a difference in the communities we operate in while at the same time providing equal opportunities and promoting further diversity in our workplace.
