At JTI, sustainability is about creating long-term value while reducing our environmental footprint, supporting communities, and upholding responsible business practices. In the Philippines, this commitment is reflected in our focus on climate action, water stewardship, biodiversity, and community well-being, recognizing that responsible resource management is essential to building a more sustainable future.
As part of its water stewardship journey, JT International Asia Manufacturing Corp. is pursuing Initial Certification against the Alliance for Water Stewardship (AWS) International Water Stewardship Standard, with the audit scheduled for October 7 to 9, 2026.
The AWS Standard provides a globally applicable framework that helps major water users understand their water use and impacts, engage stakeholders, and support sustainable water management within a catchment context. For JTI, this journey reflects a practical commitment to responsible water management and continuous improvement.
Water stewardship extends beyond our operations. Through community investment programs, partnerships, and engagement with local stakeholders, JTI Philippines aims to support shared environmental priorities and contribute to sustainable development in the communities where we live and work.
These initiatives complement our operational efforts and reinforce our commitment to creating positive impact through responsible resource management, collaboration, and transparent stakeholder engagement.
Stakeholders are invited to provide feedback on JT International Asia Manufacturing Corp.’s water management practices as part of the AWS certification process. To learn more about the certification process and opportunities for stakeholder participation, please refer to the Public Stakeholder Announcement.
