One of JTI Poland's strategic priorities is combating illicit trade in tobacco products. We support efforts to reduce the shadow economy through cooperation with public institutions and by engaging in educational, awareness-raising, and regulatory initiatives. As part of this commitment, we work closely with law enforcement agencies and other public authorities, including by delivering training programmes for officers involved in tackling illicit trade and counterfeit tobacco products. Since March 2023, JTI Poland and the Polish Police Headquarters have maintained a formal partnership aimed at combating the illegal production and trade of tobacco products and reducing the presence of illicit products on the market. An important element of our work is also raising public awareness of the economic and social impact of the shadow economy.
