Nearly one year ago, over 750 trees were planted by volunteers from JTI Vietnam and our partners on the arid sandy land of Ta Kou Nature Reserve (Binh Thuan). Today, 85% of those saplings are thriving, and the rest have been replaced to ensure a 100% survival rate!
JTI Vietnam’s Tree Planting Project aims to restore forest landscapes, promote biodiversity, and prevent soil erosion in Binh Thuan Province. It also supports JTI Group’s global Net Zero ambition and aligns with the Vietnamese Government’s national target to plant 1 billion trees by 2025.
As we move into 2025, the Tree Planting Project remains one of JTI Vietnam’s flagship community initiatives. We believe that while the journey to Net Zero is challenging, it is absolutely achievable when each of us plays a part in building a more sustainable future.
