Our sustainability strategy is adopted from the GSC Leaf Sustainability framework, consisting of three pillars (economic, social, and environmental) and six key areas of emphasis (crop integrity, crop production, resource management, climate change, human rights, and grower livelihoods). The continuous improvement process around the pillars and focus areas is defined as our Leaf Supply Chain Due Diligence Process (SCDD).
The SCDD process provides us with comprehensive oversight of the supply chain from farm to export. In this way, we can identify challenges, define root causes and implement the best solutions now and for the future. Furthermore, we have integrated Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles to transparently establish key performance metrics, monitor progress, and track our efforts.
