JTI Climate Transition Plan 2024

As with many companies, a Climate Transition Plan is a crucial tool for us to demonstrate our commitment to achieving emission reduction goals, while ensuring the long-term viability of our business model in a net-zero carbon economy. With over 16 years of sustainability experience and activities, our inaugural plan outlines not only our strategy to achieve our climate commitments, but also the key activities and investments we are undertaking to meet our climate-related objectives and targets. This is an important step in our journey towards a sustainable future.

JTI Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures Report 2024

To reflect continued progress towards the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) recommendations, and in preparation for upcoming regulatory requirements under the Swiss Ordinance on Climate Disclosures, JTI, as part of JT Group, is publishing its first, standalone, TCFD disclosure. Building trust through transparent reporting

We have defined the content of our online sustainability information using a materiality assessment. Independent verification for transparency

To ensure credibility and accuracy, we externally verify selected non-financial data, including sustainability performance, environmental impact, and workplace safety metrics.

We recognize the value of independent reviews in enhancing trust and accountability. As regulatory requirements like the EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive evolve, we are expanding the scope of assurance for our non-financial data to meet increasing expectations.

We conduct external verification on selected non-financial data, such as environmental impact, sustainability performance, and occupational health and safety metrics.

Bureau Veritas has provided limited assurance on key sustainability performance data related to our targets, reinforcing our commitment to transparent reporting.
