In Indonesia, sustainability is an integral part of how we operate our business. We are committed to reducing our environmental footprint by lowering vehicle emissions across our operations, improving energy efficiency, and increasing the use of certified renewable electricity through Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs).
These efforts contribute to our global ambition to achieve carbon neutrality in our own operations by 2030 and reach net-zero greenhouse gas emissions across our entire value chain by 2050.
Within our manufacturing operations, we are also focused on responsible water and waste management. This includes recycling initiatives designed to minimize the amount of waste sent to landfill, as well as ongoing efforts to improve how we use and manage water resources.
As part of its water stewardship journey, JTI Indonesia (PT Karyadibya Mahardhika) is pursuing Initial Certification against the Alliance for Water Stewardship (AWS) International Water Stewardship Standard for its manufacturing operations in Bakalan, Pasuruan, East Java.
The AWS Standard provides a globally applicable framework that helps major water users understand their water use and impacts, engage with stakeholders, and support sustainable water management within a catchment context. For JTI, this journey represents a practical commitment to responsible water management, stakeholder engagement, and continuous improvement.

As part of the AWS certification process, stakeholders are invited to provide feedback on the water management practices of JTI Indonesia (PT Karyadibya Mahardhika) in Bakalan, Pasuruan, East Java.
