Brazil is the biggest country on Latin America, the world’s second largest tobacco producer and the world leader in tobacco exports since 1993.

Our infrastructure in the country is made up of a research center (RS), a tobacco leaf processing unit (RS), a cigarette factory (RS), leaf tobacco buying units (RS, SC, PR), a national distribution center (MS) and sales and distribution branches in RS, SC, PR, SP, RJ and ES.

Tobacco planted by more than 12,000 integrated growers wins the world and supplies an important share of the international market. The main JTI cigarette brands are manufactured with Brazilian tobacco.

The highlight of JTI in Brazil is the integrated work of the Leaf Supply Chain, Cigarette Factory and Market operations. This synergy is reflected in greater efficiency in processes and profitability in business.

For 15 years, we have gradually invested in Brazil, leading the sustainability agenda in the agribusiness sector, in a universe committed to increasingly strengthening the integrated production chain and making our business not only innovative but also more sustainable: the company has committed to being Carbon Neutral in its operations by 2030, in addition to having ensured, in 2024, the conversion to ethanol of 100% of its fleet vehicles, resulting in the reduction of CO2.
